Screen printing, or serigraphy, is a simple and inexpensive method of reproducing an image or design onto textiles, paper, board, wood, metal glass and seramics.

An open weave mesh is stretched taut over a frame to form the screen. The image area is left clear and all other areas of the screen are masked or blocked. The screen can then be positioned over the surface to be printed and ink is drawn across the screen using a squeegee. The ink is squeezed through the mesh in the open area leaving an exact impression of the screen image on the chosen surface.
